Vince is a native of Idaho whose family business really was potatoes. Vince is a fine old-time fiddler who often takes five fiddles in different old-time tunings to every performance, including the fiddle his grandfather played. He also plays mandolin and guitar and taught Carrie to play the upright bass. Father of five musical children, the Coyotes particularly enjoy it when he demonstrates harmony lines using the falsetto voice he used to teach parts to his daughters in the family band. He has taught old-time fiddle several times at the Montana Fiddle Camp. He also plays western and cowboy music around the Intermountain West with his duo partner Mindi. He played western swing for many years with the Shelly and Kelly Band. Vince has been an avid kayaker and has run the Grand Canyon and many other rivers several times. Vince teaches music. He is one of the best “horse traders” around and has helped many people find an instrument they love to play.
