Band Profile

Vince is a talented multi-instrumentalist who has played in many bands of local and regional note

including New South Fork and the Shelly and Kelly Band.  Carrie's rock solid bass is the foundation

of the Wild Coyotes.  Carrie also plays with New South Fork, a popular regional bluegrass band.  Rick has played regionally with old-time performance and dance bands including The Old Dominion String Band, the Schnell Brothers, and Duke Nukem.  Rick has also taught old-time banjo at various music and dance camps including the prestigious Festival of American Fiddle Tunes.  Sallie grew up in West Virginia singing playing old-time and folk music and has performed on TV and radio with such notables as Joe Dobbs and Buddy Griffin (of Jim and Jesse McReynolds fame).  Sallie has a wonderful voice whether singing lead or harmonizing.

With Mike Cottle, a regional dance caller, the Wild Coyotes provide exciting contra, square, and circle dances.  Dances can be for groups with no prior dance experience or for experienced dancers.

The Wild Coyotes were recently selected to perform at the gala inaugural event in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall at the new Stephens Performing Arts Center on the Idaho State University Campus.  The master of ceremonies for the event was Idaho governor Dirk Kempthorne and his wife, Patricia, and included performances by Carol King and Steve Eaton.

The Wild Coyotes are available for performances of all types (weddings, festivals, family reunions, private parties).  Any occasion where traditional music is appreciated!

We know the music of the Wild Coyotes will help make your event a howling success!
